ADDO / SCHOTIA FULL DAY SAFARI

You'll be collected from your accommodation at around 08hr30 in the morning.

• Guests will be transferred to Addo Elephant National Park, in a closed vehicle, and have the opportunity to visit the curio shop and buy snacks for the Addo Drive.
• A guided tour through Addo Elephant Park follows, focusing mainly on elephants, buffalo, and other antelope.
• There is a lunch stop for a delicious meal.
• The game drive through Addo Park is conducted in a closed vehicle. However, the game drive at Schotia is done in an open vehicle.

• In the afternoon, guests check in at Schotia HQ Office to sign indemnity forms and receive the Schotia itinerary. Tea, coffee, juice, and biscuits are available on arrival.
• Guests should make sure to have all necessary equipment such as cameras, batteries, jackets, and binoculars.
• Any special requirements, such as allergies or dietary needs, should be communicated to the office.
• It is important to note that Schotia is not wheelchair friendly.
• Visitors must not carry any fruit in bags or pockets, as elephants can smell food and may try to get it.

• Guests will view many animals including antelope, wildebeest, zebra, crocodile, giraffe, rhino, hippo, elephants, and lions.
• A toilet and refreshment stop is planned around 15h30 to 16h30.
• At about 18h00 to 19h00, guests proceed to the Lapa for a lovely home-cooked meal around the fires. The usual menu includes venison or beef stew/roast, chicken casserole, potato dishes, rice, vegetables, homemade bread, dessert, and tea or coffee.
• The game drive usually ends between 20h00 and 21h00, though it may continue longer if the ranger is having difficulty finding lions or if guests witness a kill. If it begins to rain and most people on the vehicle wish to return early, the ranger will shorten the drive; otherwise, the drive will continue.
• The return trip is exciting, as guests often spot interesting nocturnal animals.
